1. Picture applying these models in your community. How would these proposals help you to maintain what is positive in our current system concerning group support or improve support to your groups?

-increases participation
-reaching out to isolated groups
-increases recourses
-lower defense mechanism
-shortens business meetings
-more casual
-decrease intimidation
-more comfortable starting point for service

next group same question

*Favorite* -Closes gap in areas where people have a hard time making it to our current area based on travel and expenses etc.
-not much positive
-good idea- opens door for addicts to have input
-You never know who you will hear a good idea from
-great idea, People stay out of service because it is “business”. This would be more “direct” NA.
-people can go to GSU to discuss issues solely for the groups. Not so overwhelming. GSR’s often get overwhelmed.
-gives people more time to address group concerns.

2. What, if any, challenges might these proposals create in providing group support?

*Favorite* Pulls groups from service structure
-adding another service position would just drive concerns deeper. Pulls groups farther away from area. Subcommittees need help – they would normally ask GSRs. We are biting off more then we can chew.
-nothing negative
-concerns with two track. Newcomers at GSU
-difficulty in filling positions already
-balance needed, trusted servants will be needed to fill positions

next group question 2

-hard transition to new structure
-difficulty filling positions
-lack of mentoring
-where do recourses come from to solve problems?
-lack of experience

We went back to the same groups of people here and reviewed the-

4. What, if any, challenges might these proposals create in effective local service delivery?

-geographical boundaries time, distance, money
-more time / member needed
-increase intimidation
-resistance to change = learning curve

next group same question

*Favorite* -with two track option may be hard to fill GSR position due to more responsibility
